24th Bienal Poster
Although once again reproducing an artists work, this one avoids the standard layout of the previous poster. The backdrop was the theme of the 24th Bienal, Anthropophagy, and the image chosen was severe and sharp. Unlike the excess of the posters for the 21st and 22nd Bienals, here the prevalent mood is cleanliness and precision. The design floats in the black plane and within it a figure walks on a thread, suggesting the delicate balance that characterizes the artists work as being independent of time or place. Bienal 50 Anos, 1951-2001, 2001, p.305
