21st Bienal Poster
Following in the wake of the break from the canons of Modemism, the poster uses collage as a basic resource to create images: complexity rather than simplicity, profusion rather than conciseness. The coIlage combines art historical references, from a Greek column and Rodins The Thinker through to video art. It attempts to translate the principles of the curatorship, which aimed to open up the event to urban culture and the multiplicity of artistic manifestation. Bienal 50 Anos, 1951-2001, 2001, p.303
